Tim Bafort

Tim graduated cum laude from Ghent University in 2016 and subsequently obtained an LL.M. in American Law from Boston University School of Law, with a specialization in international business practice. He joined Beyond Law Firm as an Associate in the summer of 2017.

Since then, Tim has developed strong expertise in corporate law, with a particular focus on transactional matters, including fundraising rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic investments.

Tim is known for his thorough legal analysis and his ability to structure and manage complex transactions efficiently. He combines a sharp analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach. As a project manager, he safeguards both the legal quality and the progress of a matter and is able to provide clear, concise, and relevant advice, even in complex or tense circumstances.

Thanks to his adaptability, international background, and strong sense of empathy, Tim quickly understands his clients’ commercial context and priorities. He advises them in an accessible and committed manner and builds lasting relationships of trust with both clients and colleagues.

Tim is perfectly trilingual. After being appointed Counsel in early 2023, he became a Partner at Beyond Law Firm in 2026.
